TAMPA, FL — Masonite Corp., a residential and commercial door manufacturer, announced it has finalized a deal to acquire BirchwoodBest, a manufacturer of commercial and architectural door-skins and of hardwood plywood for kitchen and bath cabinets. The company, located in Birchwood, WI,
has a second smaller location in Thorp, WI, which it expanded to in 2004.
« Birchwood’s facilities in Wisconsin are a natural complement to Masonite’s existing commercial and architectural businesses, » said Cody Wickersheim, Vice President of Birchwood, in a statement. « We look forward to joining the Masonite team and to the exciting new possibilities this creates for our customers. »
Founded in 1904, Birchwood employs approximately 240 people with revenue of more than $40 million in 2010.
